ONTIME Reports helps Express Solicitors achieve damages for the psychological injuries suffered following an armed robbery at work.
Express Solicitors were successful in obtaining an award in damages for a client who suffered significant psychological injuries following an armed robbery that occurred at her place of work.
The case was led by Tracey Bennett FCILEx, an Associate at Express Solicitors. The firm is a busy and successful specialist personal injury law firm based in Manchester, who use the specialist services of Ontime Group.
Ontime Group were required to arrange a specialist psychological consultant to assess the client’s psychological injuries in this difficult employers’ liability case.
Ontime Group arranged for the client to be seen by a Consultant Psychologist initially, for a complex psychological report to be obtained, and for questions to then be put to that expert pursuant to CPR 35.
Tracey comments “This completely denied matter was heading for trial and we had a very tight timetable of Court directions to adhere to. Ontime Group was incredibly helpful and professional in ensuring that the expert provided the responses to the P.35 questions in a timely fashion to ensure we were able to meet the strict Court deadlines”.
The medical evidence that was obtained in this difficult case was of a high standard. The client had complex psychological injuries which she found difficult to discuss or even think about. The compassionate and caring nature of the expert instructed by Ontime Group meant the client was able to trust and “open up” to her in a personal way. This resulted in a detailed, compelling and complex report that was of a very high standard. This in turn enabled us to achieve a higher than expected level of compensation for the client.
There has to be an element of trust between our firm and our service providers and we have that with Ontime Group, which played an important role in the success of this case.
